HrvatskiThe ocean is the largest sink for anthropogenic carbon dioxide (CO2), having absorbed roughly 40 per cent of CO2 emissions since the beginning of the industrial era. The capacity of the ocean to retain carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is decreasing so it is likely that there will be biger overall concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and thus further contribute to the effects of climate change.
